What does it mean to be Student Volunteer of the Month?
If elected Student Volunteer of the Month, you will have your name and picture put up on the home page of the SSC website for all to see. You will also have your name read on the morning announcements on the day that you are choosen.

Why would you want to be SVOM?
Well, the publicity, the prestige, the knowledge that you, more than anyone else in the school, have been making a real difference! Perhaps most importantly, you will have a legitimate record of what you did in high school so that when you apply to college or jobs or anything else you can prove that you were doing something important and selfless. You can also help inspire others to get involved and hopefully foster some friendly, useful, competition.

Do you have to be an SSC member/ can you be elected more times?
Absolutely not. Since everyone has the opportunity to serve and participate in SSC events, anyone can be choosen. But that doesn't mean that being a member won't help since, as a member, you have the opportunity to converse and offer your services to the SSC more than any non member.

What should you do if you want/deserve to be the SVOM?
If you want to be the SVOM there are two ways to do so. One, simply do all you can to volunteer and serve, and try to be original and creative!, and then have the SSC take note of your actions. Or, you can contact us and tell us about what you did in the past month to serve and or involve yourself and others in the community.
